Soft Breeze Files

The applications and files listed on this page are available for downloading. They are intended for the Helix Express user who wishes to customize Helix or improve the functioning of their data base. We strongly recommend they be used in conjunction with the support and consultation of Soft Breeze Systems or other experienced Helix developers.

Some files must be registered before they can be activated. Registration involves the purchase of the module by sending a check or money order to Soft Breeze Systems, 64 South Bow Rd., Hooksett, NH, 03106-2408, USA. If you would like to purchase multiple modules, discounts are available. Upon receipt of payment, we will send your registration number (mail, e-mail, fax, etc.).

Soft Breeze Systems makes no warranty or guarantee of any kind concerning the use of these files.

Osmosis, your Helix link to the internet, must be registered before it will send/receive AppleEvents. Please e-mail, write or call us for an activation number.

The user assumes all responsibility for the consequences of their use.

All files are formatted as .hqx. You will need a DeHqx'er (such as Stuffit Expander).

	Find and Rename AppleScript A simple AppleScript that renames any file named "Helix.Dump.File", to the current contents of the clipboard. Requires "Jon's Script Externals" (included) and special internal Helix set-ups. Instructions attached. Click here to download.
	Garbage Clean-Up Removes Helix temporary and extra suitcase files quickly and easily. Excellent for network clients. Hold down the command key at start-up to configure. Click here to download.
	Helix Voodoo Async I/O Module Turns on/off async I/O for Helix applications. Registration Required Cost: $10 Click here to download.
	Helix Voodoo Background Installer Installs custom backgrounds for the development mode. Not visable to the custom mode user. Primarily for use on color monitors. Requires Helix version 3.0 or higher. This file is not yet available for downloading.
	Helix Voodoo Check Abort Module Adjust abort time checking for Helix applications. Registration Required Cost: $10 Click here to download.
	Helix Voodoo Form Cache Module Turns on/off the form cache function for the Helix Client. Registration Required Cost: $10 Click here to download.
	Helix Voodoo Memory Module Modifies structure and data cache sizes for Helix version 3.5 or higher. Registration Required Cost: $25 Click here to download.
	Helix Voodoo Printer Timeout Module Turns on/off the printer timeout function for Helix applications. Registration Required Cost: $10 Click here to download.
	Helix Voodoo Save Cursor Module Turns on/off the save cursor function for the Helix Server. Registration Required Cost: $10 Click here to download.

	Helix Voodoo Splash Screen Installer Installs custom splash screens for Helix applications. Any PICT formatted graphic can be installed. Also adjusts splash screen persistence. This file is not yet available for downloading.
	Helix Voodoo Thread Stack Module Adjusts the thread stack size (memory allocation) for PPC or FAT versions of Helix Express. Registration Required Cost: $10 Click here to download.
	What Key An extension that remaps the RETURN key to act as if the TAB key was pressed for Helix applications. Type Control-Return to type a return character. Click here to download.
